In Their Own Story

The wind howled through the stone arches as Wander dragged his weary horse toward the altar. The air grew heavy, smelling of ozone and old dust. He looked up at the northern figure standing in shadow. Slowly, a pale light ignited within the robes of the North Monk, casting long beams across the floor. It was not a welcome, but an acknowledgment. Another giant had fallen; another piece of his soul had been traded. The monk did not move, yet its glow burned brighter than the dying sun outside.

Reader's Guide

The North Monk serves as a progress indicator rather than an active participant in combat. Its motivation is tied to the ancient magic governing the temple, reacting automatically to the defeat of Colossi. Historically, these figures are linked to the Ancients who created the Colossi to contain Dormin.
